
In February 2009, Oscar Ghillione, along with a group of young people concerned about the state of education in their country, began developing the plan to adapt Teach For All’s approach in Argentina. In March, 2011, with the support of the Teach For All team, Enseñá por Argentina placed its first cohort of participants in schools. In 2015, Enseñá por Argentina placed its fifth cohort of participants in schools in the Buenos Aires, Salta, and Córdoba regions, impacting the lives of more than 8000 students.
Oscar holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. In 2005, he completed his MBA at Universidad del CEMA in Buenos Aires, and in 2006, he was granted a scholarship by the Fundación Carolina to take a postgraduate course in business in Spain. In 2013 he completed a post graduate academic specialization in Educational Policy at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. At present, he is one semester away to become a certified teacher from Austral University.
Oscar has extensive experience in both the private and the social sectors. Before developing Enseñá por Argentina, he worked for 12 years in the administration and finance departments of international companies. Simultaneously, he has been a board member for Fundación Grupo San Felipe for the last eleven years, an NGO that he co-founded with friends that works on education projects in the poorest areas of Argentina. His work with this foundation gained recognition in both the private and public sectors.
Oscar has a passion for sports, particularly soccer. He resides in Buenos Aires with his wife Luz and his little sons, Oscar Jr., Fran, and Pedrito.
