Romana joined Teach For India as a Fellow in its first cohort in 2009. During the 2 years of the Fellowship, she realized that being a teacher was extremely challenging and it came with a lot of responsibility. She also came to deeply believe that Teaching really IS Leadership. Committed to learning more about teaching and leadership, she decided to join the Training & Impact team after graduating from the Fellowship. Romana has designed the Leadership Development Framework and curriculum for Fellows & Teacher coaches and put in place an on-going evaluation framework for Teach For India. She is excited to strengthen the program and continue to build leaders that will fight for equity in education and give all children the excellent education they deserve.
